2026 Kia Seltos: What’s New in Design, Interior & Technology

The Kia Seltos has been an important model for the brand in India since its launch in 2019. Over the years, it has remained a strong presence in the midsize SUV segment. For 2026, Kia has introduced the second-generation Seltos with noticeable updates in design, cabin layout, and onboard technology. The new model is built on a new platform and is larger than before, while keeping familiar engine options.

A Bold New Exterior Design with Larger Proportions

The 2026 Kia Seltos moves to Kia’s new K3 platform, replacing the earlier K2 architecture. This change has allowed the SUV to grow in size. The overall length has increased by 95mm to 4,460mm, making it the longest in its segment. The wheelbase is now 2,690mm, offering more space inside the cabin.

Visually, the new Seltos adopts a stronger and more modern look. The front features vertical daytime running lights placed at the edges, wrapping slightly over the bonnet and fenders. The headlights sit in square units within a large gloss-black grille, which still carries Kia’s signature tiger-nose shape.

From the side, the SUV gets flush door handles, chunky black cladding, and bold 18-inch alloy wheels on higher trims. The roof design flows into the tailgate, giving a floating roof effect. At the rear, vertical LED tail-lamps are connected by a light strip across the tailgate, creating a cleaner and wider appearance.

A Completely Redesigned Interior with Modern Layout

The cabin of the 2026 Seltos looks very different from the previous model while maintaining Kia’s focus on fit and finish. Materials are well textured, and panel gaps are minimal, giving the interior a premium and solid feel.

The dashboard is dominated by a large single glass panel that houses three screens:

  • A 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen
  • A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
  • A 5-inch climate control touchscreen in between

Kia has retained physical buttons and toggle switches for commonly used functions such as temperature, fan speed, and media controls. This makes daily use easier and more intuitive.

Other interior features include ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat with memory function, and a panoramic sunroof. The 360-degree camera system offers clear visuals for parking and low-speed driving.

New Turbo-Petrol Engine and Expanded Transmission Choices

One of the key updates is the introduction of a new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 120hp and 170Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and is borrowed from the Tata Nexon.

The facelift also retains the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 88hp and the petrol-CNG option delivering 73hp in CNG mode. Both engines are now available with either a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox, with AMT newly introduced for the CNG variant.

Tata Punch Facelift Variants and Price Range

The updated Tata Punch is available in six trims: Smart, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Accomplished, and Accomplished+ S. Prices start at Rs 5.59 lakh for the base petrol manual variant and go up to Rs 10.54 lakh for the top CNG AMT version.

A single-pane sunroof can be added to the Pure+ and Adventure trims as an optional feature.

Advanced Technology and Safety Features

The 2026 Kia Seltos comes equipped with modern driver assistance and safety systems. Standard safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, downhill brake control, and traction control.

Higher variants offer a full Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite. This includes lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and adaptive features designed to improve driving safety during long journeys and highway use.

The new platform also supports over-the-air software updates, allowing certain vehicle systems to remain up to date without visiting a service center.

Improved Space and Practicality

Thanks to the longer wheelbase, rear-seat legroom has improved noticeably. Headroom is adequate even for taller passengers, and the cabin width allows three adults to sit comfortably for short journeys.

The boot capacity stands at 447 litres, with a flat loading floor that makes it easier to carry luggage. A full-size spare wheel is stored below the boot floor.

The 2026 Kia Seltos introduces a fresh design language, a modern digital cabin, and advanced technology while maintaining its practical SUV layout. For customers exploring the latest Kia lineup through malik kia and the wider malikgroup, the new Seltos represents Kia’s updated approach to style, comfort, and connected driving in the midsize SUV segment.
